Biography

Julia Levine is a visuals fellow at The Connecticut Mirror and freelance photojournalist who covers political, social, and cultural issues. Raised outside of Washington D.C., she is based in New York City, but enjoys working and traveling in the Northeast.

As an undergrad, Julia was the editor in chief of The Aegis and worked as a photojournalist intern with Dartmouth’s communications office. After graduating college, Julia earned a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.

When she’s not photographing, Julia can most likely be found on her yoga mat, experimenting with a new recipe, watercoloring, touching grass, or fiddling around with her 35 mm film camera.
